ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kat Waterman, 27, is a dynamic Asian-American freelance photographer and graphic designer, active in the Greater Boston area. From nightlife event photography to professional headshots, event posters, and album cover designs, Kat effortlessly hops mediums and prides herself in being a “jack of all trades.”
“Whether it’s a new start up restaurant, actor, or fellow artist, I want to help people present themselves as the best versions of themselves through art and photography,” she said. “I think by helping others with their branding identity, it’s my own way of reaching self realization.”
Kat’s photography has been featured several times in the Boston Globe for concerts held by esteemed classical organization Handel and Haydn Society. She has produced event posters for Cambridge cultural art space, EMW Bookstore. Additionally, she has designed album covers for classical cellist Guy Fishman (Vivaldi, 2016) and hip hop artist Rex Mac (ABLOOM, 2017).
Most recently, her series of woodblock prints entitled, “Art of Speech,” has been exhibited in gallery spaces with Boston arts collective Wheelhouse Bound.
